Make a lantern for the Mardi Gras parade at Grow Festival

Join artists Same Sky to make a wonderful lantern for ArtReach‘s Mardi Gras parade as part of Grow Festival 2020! Simply book your FREE workshop, make your lantern…then bring it back to James Ashworth Square in Corby town centre on Friday 7th February at 6pm to get involved. The parade will set off at 6.15pm led by the Spark! drummers through Same Sky‘s magical Mardi Gras Illuminations in Thoroughsale woods to Corby Boating Lake.

There’s a choice of a 30-minute workshop to decorate a globe lantern or a more intensive 2-hour workshop to learn how to make a willow lantern from scratch. Please see workshop times and booking links below – we prefer you book online but if you are unable to, please call the office on  01536 267895.

FREE 2-hour weekend workshops on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd February

These 2-hour workshops will use willow, tissue and your creativity to make a lantern to carry at the lit trail on Friday 7th of February. No previous experience is needed, just bundles of enthusiasm and old clothes (there will be glue).
