No Way Back – Impact Study

No Way Back was a physical theatre show, co-created by Frantic Assembly directors Scott Graham and Neil Bettles (who both grew up in Corby) and a cast of ten local people and six professional performers.

The performers were recruited through a series of open and targeted taster sessions in a range of venues across the borough, followed by trial workshops. No Way Back premiered at the Core, Corby Cube in Summer 2015. The show was created in collaboration with the people of Corby and is about the events in our lives that shape who we are.

This Frantic Assembly commission is part of the Signature Commissions strand of the Made in Corby programme, which aims to bring iconic artists to Corby to make work alongside local people, reinforcing a sense of both a destination and a journey to come.

Find out more about the impact of the project in these two short films. The first film captures the story of No Way Back. The second film tells the story of Jonny, one of the participants and the impact of the project on an individual.
